Plumbing waste line with no “fall”

waste line slope

The original construction of this home was 2007.  In 2010, the owner added a bathroom to the first floor. The waste line was tied into the other waster lines just before they exit the crawlspace. The last 10 lineal feet of new waste line has no slope at all. The recommended slope for a waste line is 1/4″ per lineal foot. There was no need for this condition as there is plenty of room to increase the slope of the pipe. It most likely can be corrected by adjusting the metal pipe hangers.
